PotomacWave Consulting Announces New CEO

PotomacWave Consulting is pleased to announce the appointment of CarrieAnne Boak to the role of CEO. For the last 18 months, CarrieAnne has led PotomacWave as President and under her leadership, PotomacWave has continued to grow and thrive – further expanding our Federal Government business portfolio, investing in and promoting our diverse workforce, and giving back to the community. In 2018, PotomacWave was recognized alongside some extremely impressive firms in the #10 slot in the Washington Business Journal – Largest Women-Owned Businesses in Greater D.C. CarrieAnne has continued to raise the bar at PotomacWave and fortified our culture as a firm that is not afraid to challenge the status quo.

CarrieAnne Boak is responsible for setting the company’s strategic vision and direction and for overseeing day-to-day operations. Since joining PotomacWave in 2014, the company has experienced an average annual revenue growth rate of 18%, entered six new markets, and continues to be recognized by the Washington Business Journal, Washington Technology, and the Stevie Awards for Women in Business as one of the fastest growing companies in the area. With a passion for giving back, CarrieAnne launched a corporate social responsibility (CSR) program called the PotomacWave Outreach Program (POP), a mentorship program, and an internship program, where she actively participates in promoting the PotomacWave “Be BOLD” principles. CarrieAnne has more than 24 years of experience leading high-profile consulting engagements in the Government sector and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).  She holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Radford University, and a Master’s Degree in Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology.

When not engaged with PotomacWave activities, CarrieAnne enjoys travelling, spending time with her family, and sailing.
