Former CISA UAS Security Chief Larson Scott Parker Launches Aerisq Solutions

Larson Scott Parker, who previously led unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) security efforts at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), has launched a new venture focused on helping organizations manage drone-related risks.

Parker, a former Homeland Security Today Trailblazer, announced the formation of Aerisq Solutions, LLC, describing it as the next chapter in a career that has spanned more than 25 years in the U.S. Army and several years at the Department of Homeland Security.

Aerisq Solutions is based in Northern Virginia and provides risk assessments, training, and preparedness support to critical infrastructure operators and public safety agencies navigating the evolving challenges posed by unmanned aircraft systems. The company applies Parker’s federal UAS security experience and FAA Part 107 remote pilot certification expertise to help organizations improve awareness, response planning, and resilience.

At CISA, Parker served as Chief of UAS Security from January 2022 to May 2025. In that role, he led the agency’s efforts to advise critical infrastructure sectors on managing cyber and physical risks associated with drones. He established and scaled CISA’s first UAS Security Program, growing the team and securing $2.5 million to expand federal and industry engagement. He also led interagency efforts that influenced federal policy on foreign-manufactured drones and expanded DHS-sponsored flight restrictions over critical infrastructure.

Earlier at CISA, Parker served as Chief of Advanced Threats Security, where he worked on strengthening protection of critical infrastructure and soft targets against threats including vehicle ramming, insider risks, chemical and biological hazards, and cyber-physical convergence. He also helped shape national cyber-physical risk strategy and led development of guidance for houses of worship and other community organizations.

Before that, he served as a DHS program lead focused on insider threats and active shooter preparedness, facilitating more than 50 workshops nationwide and launching a public-facing insider threat awareness resource used by tens of thousands of stakeholders.

Parker served more than 26 years in the U.S. Army, including leadership positions in the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM), U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC), and the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC). He led operations in various locations including Germany, Panama, Guam, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Qatar, and Iraq. His awards include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, and Defense Meritorious Service Medal.

He holds an MBA from National Louis University, a bachelor’s degree in management, and a graduate certificate in emergency and disaster management from American Military University. He is also a certified FAA remote pilot.
