Nicole Ziogas has been appointed Assistant Director of Emergency Preparedness and Response at the Greater New York Hospital Association (GNYHA), where she will continue supporting a range of emergency planning and response efforts for the region’s healthcare sector.
Ziogas joined GNYHA’s Legal, Regulatory, and Professional Affairs Department in 2023 and has held several roles within the organization. She most recently served as Senior Project Manager and before that as Project Manager.
Prior to joining GNYHA, Ziogas served as a Student Fellow with the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, working in the Office of Emergency Preparedness and Response. During that fellowship, she contributed to the development of a climate change model designed to inform emergency planning and public health preparedness efforts.
Earlier in her career, she also held positions with Shukla Medical Services, where she worked as both an administrative assistant and project coordinator.
Ziogas holds a Master of Public Health in Community Health from the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Psychology from SUNY New Paltz.
