Sophie Ondrus has joined General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) as Vice President and General Manager of its National Intelligence Sector within the Intelligence and Homeland Division (IHS), where she will oversee mission-critical IT services and solutions supporting national intelligence customers.
In her new role, Ondrus is responsible for leading programs focused on operational excellence, innovation, and enterprise mission outcomes across highly secure environments supporting the Intelligence Community.
Ondrus brings extensive experience across national security and intelligence portfolios, with a career spanning leadership roles in large-scale IT modernization, cloud, cyber, artificial intelligence, and mission services.
Prior to joining GDIT in June 2026, Ondrus served at Leidos for more than a decade in senior leadership roles. Most recently, she was Vice President overseeing an Intelligence Community portfolio focused on IT modernization and mission services, including AI-enabled solutions, cyber operations, cloud capabilities, network and security operations, and maintenance and sustainment services.
From 2020 to 2025, she also held a Vice President role at Leidos with responsibility for enterprise intelligence portfolios supporting ICAM, AI/ML-enabled systems, secure application development, and mission services including intelligence analysis, collection support, training, counterterrorism, and linguistic services. Earlier at Leidos, she served as Senior Program Manager, where she led more than 100 personnel delivering 24/7 mission IT operations and managed cybersecurity modernization and infrastructure programs.
Ondrus holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Shepherd University and has completed executive education programs through the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the Lockheed Martin Executive Development Program. She also maintains certifications in project management, ITIL, and Lean Six Sigma, alongside leadership development focused on enterprise transformation and organizational performance.
