Kimberly Atwood Joins FirstNet Authority as Program Manager

Kimberly Atwood has been appointed a Program Manager for the First Responder Network (FirstNet) Authority.

FirstNet is a single, interoperable, highly secure wireless broadband communications network for America’s fire, law enforcement, EMS and other public safety personnel. The network aims to help to solve the communications challenges that public safety personnel have faced in responding to local emergencies, as well as large scale emergencies such as the 9/11 terrorist attacks and Hurricane Katrina.

Atwood previously spent 19 years at the Bureau of Reclamation, culminating in her appointment as Information Technology Project Manager in July 2021. During these 19 years, she worked for various contracting companies at the Bureau, including Evanhoe & Associates and Dakota Consulting. She was a Contract Project Manager at the Environmental Protection Agency.

Atwood received a Bachelor’s in Mathematics from the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
