Belcan Government Services Announces New Chief Technology Officer of Enterprise IT

Belcan, LLC announced that Jas. Powell has joined as chief technology officer for Enterprise IT for its Belcan Government Services segment. In his new role, Powell will be responsible for leading Belcan Government Services’ growth in the areas of critical infrastructure, security and innovation.

“Jas. has a profound understanding of information systems and has demonstrated a keen ability to leverage advances in technology to achieve mission successes,” said Clint Green, vice president of technology and innovation at Belcan Government Services. “His broad technical skills coupled with his deep industry experience will be key advantages for Belcan Government Services and our customers.”

Prior to joining Belcan, Powell was the director of industry engagement for global military and national governments at Riverbed Technologies, where he was responsible for Riverbed’s vertical approach to defense and government solutions. He was also an Artifex of Next Generation Solutions with Lockheed Martin and notably helped build the NexGen Cyber-Innovation and Technology Center for Lockheed Martin’s Information Systems & Global Solutions division. In 2010, he was a recipient of the NOVA Awards, Lockheed’s highest honor that recognizes and celebrates stellar employee achievements. Powell has worked throughout the Department of Defense, specifically with the Navy, Marine Corps, and foreign affairs community as a cloud engineer and innovator.

“Throughout my career I’ve been passionate about creating a better citizen experience for civilian agencies,” said Powell. “I look forward to bringing that passion and using my breadth of experience to further Belcan’s mission to engineer better outcomes through adaptive and integrated services.”
