Drone Defence Introduces Portable Counter Drone System

Drone Defence has released a portable electronic drone countermeasure system, the Paladyne E1000MP.

The company says it is the ‘first of many’ upcoming product announcements following recent seed funding from a U.S. investor.

The man-portable drone countermeasure system is compact, lightweight and designed to protect organizations of all sizes against the emerging threat from drones. Paladyne E1000MP can disrupt the command, video and navigation signals on the majority of commercial drones from up to one kilometer away. The pistol is also designed so it can be mounted on a rifle if necessary, with the control box fitting into a small backpack or pouch. It comes in a range of colors – with a night mode option for added stealth.

Once the drone is detected the Paladyne E1000MP can be activated to block its control, GPS and video signals meaning that the drone returns to its start location, lands or drifts away.

The end-user can choose between an omnidirectional or directional antenna meaning that wide areas can be protected or the signal can be directed at the offending drone.

The operator can control the channels they wish to intercept meaning that they could activate the ‘return to home’ function in the drone and then find out where the operator is.
